Losing 22 pounds (10kg) of weight can lower your systolic pressure by 5 to 10 points. Remember, 120/80 is ideal, and high blood pressure can lead to numerous health issues, including diabetes, stroke, heart attack, and other health related problems. Many doctors tell their hypertension suffering patients to LOSE WEIGHT, and I have to agree with this.
