It's a vicious cycle for some, who can't afford to absorb the cost of buying natural foods, which are substantially more expensive. Heck, poor people are preyed upon by the fast food industry. Ever driven through a 'poor neighborhood' before? They're littered with fast food restaurants. They're cheap, they don't have a dress code, and it's, by and large, lower class people who work there as well as eat there.
I'm not saying it's a conspiracy, but the poor are definitely kept unhealthy.
